A quite brilliant debut season from the tattooed man earned Shade the title of Manager of the season. Some shrewd dealings at the auction were followed up by some clever transfers at Xmas to leave Zenith 6th when the fat lady sang in May.
Mr Shade followed up this league success by winning the FFA cup. Not a bad return for the brandy loving ginger. Many pundits believed that that injury prone players would leave Zenith in all sorts of problems but against all odds and the cheese-strings an excellent result was achieved.
Now the real hard work begins. The FFA have seen this happen all to often in the past. A lucky debut season is then followed up with a terrible second season. A solid auction is needed for Neil to have success this year. Best leave the brandy until the evening then......
