Following his 3rd place finish in 2009/2010, last season will have been a severe disappointment to Joe.
Mirroring his side project, Blue, Joe/Antony entered the competition with high hopes and some good early results / points lead to hopes of a concerted bid for a victory. Things then dropped off alarmingly and only a late rally ensured a respectable finish in midtable.
Joe will be hoping for a better performance at the auction as he walked away with Mascherano and Bellamy, who then both then disappeared before a ball had been kicked. The purchase of Andrei Arshavin for £18m could also not be considered great value for money.
Board Prediction: Expect a determined response to last season's disappointment. Will be desperate to overhaul Westy Ham.
