The Consortium had a shocking season with Hull in goal and the rest of the team based around Gerrard and the injury prone Torres. Once Gerrard was sold at Xmas and the goal scoring brilliance of Viera and Santa Crus were brought into the club the writing was on the wall.
Will need to perform better at the auction this year to stand any chance, less beers and burgers would no doubt help. Should have the experience to do well and if better players are purchased along with a steady keeper this might be the year for the Consortium.
Board Prediction: Will buy Ledley King. Other than that it’s anyone’s guess. If sensible could be in the mix come April.
