Cashens senior and junior had a tremendous debut season, winning the FFA league title at the first time of asking. The second season proved a little tougher. Attending the auction in person was a costly decision as despite assembling a decent side they bought Burnley in goal for £9m. They never recovered from this and ended up second bottom although were unlucky to exit the cup at quarter final stage.
